Apstrakt

Na uzorku od 1491 ispitanika, različitog građanskog statusa (izbeglice, povratnici i domicilno stanovništvo) iz tri republike bivše jugoslavije (Bosna i Hercegovina, Hrvatska i Srbija) primenjen je obiman instrumentarij koji meri, socialni status, traumatska iskustva, odgovor na traumatsko iskustvo, psiho-patologiju, bazične crte ličnosti, samopoimanje i socijalnu distancu.

Cilj rada je bio da utvrdi kakva je socijalna distanca među tri naroda bivše Jugoslavije i čime je to povezano.

Rezultati su pokazali da je socijalna distanca između tri naroda još uvek jako visoka ali sa blagim trendom smanjivanja, naročito kada je reč o odnosima Srba i Hrvata. Između 10 i 15 posto ispitanika ne želi da vidi narode sa kojima su ratovali čak ni kao turiste. Etnička distanca je najzastupljenija među izbeglicama. Najvažniji korelati etničke distance su neuroticizam, broj psihopatoloških simptoma, psihopatologija vezana za traumu te elementi samopoimanja. Traumatska iskustva i osiromašenje vezano za rat značajno koreliraju sa etničkom distancom samo na Bošnjačkom poduzorku. Paradoksalan je nalaz da je na Hrvatskom poduzorku poboljšanje ekonomskog statusa povezano sa većom distancom.
