About the Journal

Zbornik Instituta za kriminološka i sociološka istraživanja / Journal of the Institute of Criminological and Sociological Research (Zbornik IKSI) is a scientific journal published since 1972. The journal is published three times a year and follows a double-blind peer-review process. From Issue 3 (2025), an electronic edition is also available.

According to the official classification by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia for 2025, the journal is categorised as a Leading National Scientific Journal (M51 category).

Zbornik IKSI publishes original theoretical, empirical, and comparative research in criminology, sociology, psychology, correctional andragogy, victimology, special education, and other related disciplines. The journal aims to advance scientific understanding of contemporary social phenomena, with a particular focus on deviance, crime, social pathology, and societal responses, and to promote evidence-based approaches. The journal publishes work relevant to national, regional, and international contexts, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and scholarly exchange.

Zbornik IKSI is an open-access publication and does not charge readers any fees to access its content, nor does it require authors to pay to publish their work. The process of submission of manuscripts, reviews, processing and publication of the work is free of charge. Its content is released without delay (e.g., during the embargo period).
