Apstrakt

Ovaj rad pruža kratak opis intermedijarnih sankcija. Te su sankcije nerazvijene da premoste prazninu između tradicionalne probacije i kazne zatvora, kao i da ostvare tri glavna cilja: smanjenje troškova, smanjenje zatvorske populacije, i redukovanje stope recidivizma. Evaluacija efekata intermedijarnih sankcija je pokazala da su očekivanja bila isuviše optimistična. Rad se završava diskusijom teoretskih i praktičnih implikacija korišćenja intermedijarnih sankcija, kao i njihovog budućeg razvoja.
