Narcizam i samopoštovanje u svetu Facebooka

Apstrakt

Sve masovnije korišćenje društvenih mreža dovelo je do pojave novih modela prezentovanja selfa. Međutim, ovaj fenomen je još uvek nedovoljno psihološki istražen. Našim istraživanjem pokušali smo utvrditi da li osobine ličnosti utiču na korišćenje facebooka. Uzorak je činilo 68 mladića i 85 devojaka iz Novog Sada, koji su testirani primenom Upitnika za merenje narcizma NPI-40, RSES-om za merenje samopoštovanja i Karpenterovim upitnikom za merenje sklonosti ka korišćenju facebooka.

Rezultati su pokazali da je veća aktivnost na facebooku pozitivno povezana sa narcizmom i negativno sa samopoštovanjem. Osobine narcizma značajno su povezane i sa samopromocijom i sa traženjem emocionalne podrške korišćenjem facebooka, dok je nisko samopoštovanje značajno povezano samo sa samopromocijom na ovoj društvenoj mreži. Nisu utvrđene značajne polne razlike u odnosu na narcizam. Devojke koriste facebook prvenstveno radi samopromocije, što se može dovesti u vezu sa značajno nižim samopoštovanjem. Nalazi uglavnom potvrđuju početne pretpostavke o modelima self-prezentacije na facebooku.
