Abstract

This paper discusses the place of drugs in the arts and in what relation it is to the criminalisation of drug use. In the case of the Colombian drug-telenovela, we see that the social context determines the attitude towards drugs. The author shows that the criminalisation of drugs and normalisation are closely related to whether societies are consumers or producers of drugs. It also provides a review of our situation and world trends in this regard.
